A weekly post premised on this: Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord (Prov. 16:20)

As my recovery time seemed to go on and on, my emotions were unpredictable. Thankfully, I had been forewarned to expect that they would be. Even so. I was surprised at their strength, and my weakness.

Emotions

Emotions are like the ocean,
Come in waves which sometimes can be ridden,
Which sometimes override,
And from which I cannot hide.
Emotions include uglies like anger,
Which can mangle if not managed,
Tears which cannot be shed
Or my image of strength will be dead,
And so on and so forth.
Emotions are like the tides,
Current and nocturnal and diurnal, and rides
For surfers alone;
Instead I moan.
Emotions are.
