A weekly post premised on this: Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord (Prov. 16:20)

Nothing He Cannot Understand

Sometimes we don't give God the credit He deserves for understanding what we experience. Incarnate yet sinless, we have a compassionate, comprehending Lord.

Nothing He Cannot Understand

We go through nothing He cannot understand--
Immortal, Eternal, Holy, Infinite, Immanuel--
God made Man, living the life of a man for
More than 30 years.
Scriptures tell us He was tempted in all ways as we are,
Yet without sin.
He knows what we face because He faced it too.
His temptations were greater than ours because
He never yielded to a one of them; none of us can say the same.
He knows the pain of the loss of loved ones to death.
He knows the pain of friends who turn out not to be friends.
He knows, and so when we cry out to Him in prayer,
Our words resonate with His holy heart.
Beyond knowing, He is all powerful to help us in whatever way help
Is right for us, when it is right for us.
His timing is perfect, for He is perfect.
Blessed Redeemer! Rock of Salvation and of Rest.

Hebrews 7:25: "Therefore He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."
