Two Pieces: Suddenly Glory and Our Grief is Real
Since my last post, my Mom died. She was almost 98 years old and had walked with the Lord since she was a young teen.
Suddenly Glory is how I imagined it was for her.
Suddenly Glory
Suddenly glory arrayed the believer,
No more connected to the earth,
Breathing heaven's air.
Suddenly in the presence of
The One Holy God.
Suddenly hearing,
"Well done, good and faithful servant,
Enter into the joy of your Lord."
Suddenly,
Joyfully,
Eternally.
Our Grief is Real
Our grief is real but not as grim as
For those who have no trust in Him;
For those who perish without His grace;
For those who do not see His face,
But die in in sin instead, to dwell
Eternally punished in damnation's hell.
Yes, we mourn but we have that hope,
That anchor in the soul,
That she is now and we will be
In Christ, whole.
Suddenly Glory is how I imagined it was for her.
