Writing from our new Kentucky home
Writing from our new Kentucky home
This has been a significant year for us, and it isn't over yet.
We sold our condominium in California in May.
Garry retired as a full-time employee of Grace to You at the end of June, after almost 19 years.
We moved to Kentucky in July, to an apartment we found in the spring.
Everyone asks why we chose this location.
We knew once Garry retired from full-time work, we could not afford to stay in California so we had begun to consider our options some time ago.
It is important for us to be part of a fellowship where the Bible is taught; we are thankful for having had that at Grace Community; we knew we would find this also in a new fellowship group here, Truth Community Fellowship, as we had experienced that from its pastor, Don Green, when he was part of our lives in California.
We also wanted to live closer to our families, taking into account weather influences on our health, especially mine, and that in Kentucky those would be milder than many other places in the Midwest.
We prayerfully considered and sought and so we are living here now. That's our story and we are sticking with it.
