How gracious, how merciful, are You, God most holy!
How merciful, how gracious, the only righteous One!
No one can stand before You
Except those who are equally holy,
Except those who are equally righteous,
Except those You made equally so.

How merciful, how gracious, that the only righteous One
Would deign to do this through His equally holy Son,
Who gives to those His righteousness who repent
For to this end He was sent,
The merciful, the gracious, the righteous, the only Holy.
