Faithfulness
Faithfulness will be the theme for Every Woman's Grace this year. The theme verse is Deut. 7:9. This is the NASB: Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.
I decided to look up "faithfulness" on the BibleGateway web site [one of my favorite places] and was especially struck by this verse in Psalm 69: "But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness" (69:13; ESV).
The expression "your saving faithfulness" reminded me that my salvation too is dependent on his faithfulness. And his can be counted on. As the Lord himself stated in the gospel John recorded: "Him who comes to me I will in no wise cast out [turn away]" and as John wrote in his first letter: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"
