Tuesday's slice of bread

In Exodus 16, we learn of God's provision of manna for His people. He provided precisely what each needed, exactly when they needed it, and for the years they needed it. When hoarding was tried, as a matter of unbelief, God dealt with that too. Since Garry and I relocated to CA., God has provided exactly the extra amount of work for us precisely when we have needed the extra income. To me that is MERCY LIKE MANNA

Mercy like manna
Is fresh with the dawn
Is substance without limit
For today.

Before the sun shows, the manna falls;
Before the need shows, the mercy avails.

Mercy like manna
Falls in the night,
Appears in the dawn,
Provides succor in the desert,
For today.

Mercy like manna
Falls in the dark

How did this Monday post sneak in??

Many thanks for recommending, "The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment." I was just reading today about the Israelites' grumbling and murmuring, and the wrath that came upon them because of it.
